Act 6: Chapter 12: Sharing Information
After Lunaire's arrival, we went to the Dragon King Castle to talk again.
I bowed to Riddler as we walked along the passage.
「My apologies for causing so much trouble… And thank you very much.」
「This Peach Dragon Village isn't a place where just anyone can stroll around. Even if it's Kanata's friend, too many unfamiliar faces walking around will attract other dragonfolk's attention and might cause some trouble. Please don’t get the wrong idea.」
「Thank you for your consideration.」
「… Well, just try not to cause trouble for the other dragonfolk. Some dragonfolk are hot-blooded. If someone like Raigan confronts your acquaintance, it will lead to serious consequences.」
Said Riddler as he glanced at Lunaire.
When Lunaire looked up at him, Riddler's body shook, and then he averted his face.We gathered together in the 《Dragon King Room》 and shared the current situation.
「As I mentioned before… I'm Kanata's master. Since I'm a lich who returned from the dead with ceremony, you might feel a little uncomfortable around me due to the aftereffect.」
Lunaire explained her situation while clinging to my back.
「I see… So the reason Kanata-san always avoided the topic about her is because she's a lich…」
Pomera nodded as she said so and then looked at Lunaire again.
「So, why did she… uhm, hide behind Kanata-san?」
「Lunaire-san is a reclusive person.」
「… R-Really?」
Pomera nodded a bit upon hearing my reply; she accepted my explanation for now.
「Since I don't really like humans. I secluded myself deep inside the underground dungeon. I might do something rude on the surface, but please overlook that.」
Lunaire replied coldly.
「As I said, I'm Kanata's master, but the reason I saved him in the underground dungeon is merely a whim of a lich who has lived for a long time. There might be some misunderstanding with how he described me, though.」
Lunaire grasped the cuff of my shirt anxiously while saying something like that.
「Excuse me… but do you expect us to believe that with the way you act?」
Pomera spoke timidly.
「I have no idea what Kanata told you, but I wish you'd stop directing your curiosity at me. That's… making me embarrassed.」
Despite speaking in a flat and cold tone, a rosy color of embarrassment started to appear on her cheeks.
She shrunk as if wanting to hide behind my back.
「… Are you okay, Lunaire-san? If you have a hard time explaining, you can actually take a break at a different location while I explain the situation to them, you know?」
I gently caressed Lunaire's back while whispering to her.
「I-It's okay… And thank you for your consideration, Kanata.」
Lunaire seemed to have stage fright since she had never spoken in front of so many people before.
「Gimme a break already, are you forcing us to eat dog food here?」
Rosemonde spoke with a troubled face.
「Pomera got this feeling before… but now she's sure that she has no chance at all.」
Pomera also looked shyly at Lunaire, completely at a loss for words.
「N-Nonsense! K-Kanata and I aren't in that kind of relationship! Please don’t interrupt my explanation!」
「Could it be that Lunaire is Kanata's wife?」

Philia asked Lunaire with sparkling eyes.
Lunaire looked at Philia with a tearful look on her face.
「D-D… Don't jest with me.」
「S-Sowry…」
Philia was apologizing seriously.
Philia was a child who could read the air.
We had to wait a few minutes for Lunaire to regain her composure before she resumed her story.
It had somehow set the mood in this place.
Lunaire's tearful expression had already vanished, and she regained her composed look again.
There was a pink shade on her cheeks for some reason, though.
「You may not understand, but whims are part and parcel of those who live through the ages, such as a lich. I intended to return to my life of seclusion after Kanata had left… but after he left, I felt a strong magical power from outside by some sort of coincidence, so I ventured out to investigate it. The spider demon lord might cause quite a stir among you humans.」
「You're sticking to your character, eh…」
Rosemonde muttered so.
「Therefore… the fact that I followed after Kanata, and the fact that our paths overlapped was a mere coincidence. Well, since Kanata's presence brought the attention of higher beings, it might not be a pure coincidence.」
「It's okay, Lunaire-san. There's no need to explain to everyone anymore; they already know it!」
「I-I still have to explain properly! It's important to clear up misunderstandings! I mean, they might mistake me for stalking Kanata unless I explain it properly to them!」
Lunaire's expression, which had only just stabilized, started to crumble down again.
Her flat tone started to go awry.
Man, Rosemonde's remark hit the bull's-eye.
「MasTEr, LeT Me To ExPlaIN eVertinG.」
Noble Mimic, who had kept silent until now, finally spoke up.
「N-Noble! Please don’t say anything unnecessary! I mean, you really have to stop for now…」
「… Noble, you really have to stop, please.」
I agreed with Lunaire.
At this rate, we wouldn't get any explanation.
「KaNaTa ShoUld've HaTe It Too. i MeAN, She's So ShY DesPite Her DeVOtIOn…」
「It's not that I don’t have my own thoughts on this matter, but…」
Lunaire's shoulder twitched when I muttered so.
「No, uhm, it's not like I'm reluctant to be seen in that kind of relationship with Kanata, it's just that I, well, haven't sorted out my feelings, that's why… Uhm…! I'm really sorry, I think I'm really not used to this kind of place… Do I make you feel uncomfortable, Kanata?」
Asked Lunaire as she grabbed my sleeve, looking at me with upturned gaze.
Her eyes had already turned moist.
「I-It's okay! There's absolutely no way I can hate you, Lunaire-san!」
When I looked at Noble Mimic, I saw them laughing while sticking out their tongue.
Damn it, we ended up dancing in Noble Mimic's hands.
「Sorry… Let's give Lunaire-san some time to cool her mind!」
I turned around and spoke to everyone while trying to calm Lunaire.
