With a single, fluid movement, Xian Tian sidestepped the strike and grabbed the assassin's arm mid-air, twisting it effortlessly until he heard the satisfying crack of bone like in action movie.

The assassin let out a muffled scream, but Xian Tian wasn't finished.

He pulled the man closer, driving a swift elbow into his gut, sending him crashing to the ground.
Before the others could react, Xian Tian was already moving.
His speed was unreal, like a blur in the early morning light, creating that glitchy effect.
A kick here, a punch there, a knee-shot over GEAR, each one precise, deadly, and leaving his enemies writhing on the ground in seconds.
The last of the assassins was a woman with cold, calculating eyes who still stood her ground as Xian Tian approached her.
Lucky for her she didn't possessed the GEAR.

She drew two curved daggers from her waist and took a fighting stance, but Xian Tian's smile only grew wider.
"More bones for me to break," he said, his voice laced with amusement as he couldn't fathom what made this woman think she can fight him?
Like seriously some people never learn how to function properly.

She lunged at him, her blades flashing in the dark cold blood thrishty light, aiming for his neck.
But Xian Tian's movements were effortless, dodging each strike with ease.
The woman's attacks became more frantic, but she couldn't land a single blow.

Then... in one swift motion, Xian Tian caught both of her wrists, squeezing until her grip on the daggers loosened.
He leaned in, his voice barely a whisper.
"Tell your emperor this," Xian Tian said with his voice cold and unwavering.
"If he wants my head, he'll have to come here and take it himself,"
The quote was cold than ice.

With that, he released the woman's wrists and delivered a crushing blow to her chest, sending her flying several feet back.

She landed hard, gasping for air, her body crumpled in defeat.

Xian Tian dusted his hands off and turned back toward the walls, as if nothing had happened.
The masculine urge to spare woman.
The assassins lay scattered across the ground, groaning in pain, but Xian Tian paid them no mind. They were just a warm-up.

"Let the emperor send as many as he wants," he muttered to himself with a smirk.

Saying that, he snapped his fingers and killed all others aside from the woman, their body turning Into smoke before completely vanishing.
The woman sensing the danger hurriedly left however she didn't understand why would he think the emperor sent an assassin after him?
Truth be told, They weren't sent by the emperor but by someone else.
And that someone hates Xian Tian deeply.

She never expected to be beaten by someone with no name.

The assassin, whose name is Mei Ling by the way,
Clenched her fist as she regained her breath.
Her body ached from the fight, but her mind whirled with confusion and anger.
What would she answer the one above her?
She'd underestimated the target... not only was he far stronger than she'd anticipated, but he'd misinterpreted their mission entirely.
Anyway, she needs to report or back to her superior.
It wasn't the emperor who had sent her after Xian Tian; it was a different client a powerful figure from the shadows, one who harbored a long-standing vendetta against Xian Tian for of course stealing his loved and cherished woman.

She cursed under her breath, wondering if that man's arrogance had blinded him to his real enemies but the trouble for her was real.

"This is Agent Mei Ling, reporting back," she said, her voice tense. "The mission was unsuccessful. Target possesses far greater strength than anticipated. I was unable to complete the mission."
A low, distorted voice crackled through the receiver. "Did he mention the emperor?"
"Yes," she replied, wincing at the memory of Xian Tian's cold words. "He seems to believe the emperor is behind the attack. He left all but one of us dead and made a clear warning, but… he has no idea it's really you who wants him gone."
The voice on the other end let out a sinister chuckle. "Good. Let him think that. His arrogance will lead him right into our trap. If he believes the emperor is his enemy, he'll exhaust himself on the wrong front."
Mei Ling hesitated before continuing, "But he's... strong. Stronger than I've seen. What should we do next?"
A silence followed before her handler responded, "We'll change our approach. Return to base for reassessment. This was merely a test to see his strength—and now we know. Next time, he won't be so lucky."
As she began to deactivate her device, Mei Ling suddenly noticed a presence in the trees around her. She froze, every muscle tensed, but before she could react, a hand clamped over her mouth. Another assassin from her own faction materialized out of the shadows.
"Orders changed," the newcomer whispered, his voice barely audible. "We're not done with him yet. The boss wants us to keep watch on Xian Tian. Gather information. Find his weaknesses."
"What?" Mei Ling whispered back, her voice laced with frustration and disbelief. "I barely made it out of there alive. You want me to go back?"
"Orders are orders," he replied, his eyes hard. "We're all replaceable, remember? Either you return, or I'll take your place."
Her jaw clenched, but she knew she had no choice. She took a deep breath, her mind racing. It wasn't only her life on the line—failing again could mean the end of her entire career.
"Fine," she said through gritted teeth. "I'll return to his sect. But this time, I'll learn everything about him. If he has even one weakness, I'll find it."
