Chapter 6: Laws Of The World
With his eyes closed, Miguel was in deep meditation.
This was a method that cultivators always used when cultivating, gathering Spiritual Energy and circulating it in various acupoints that will eventually be stored inside the Dantian after some process.
Miguel had already taken such action countless times. Entering deep meditation to sense the unique energy was already as easy as breathing for him.
The moment he entered the deep meditative state, Miguel instantly sensed the unique energy of this world.
In cultivation, one would be able to sense the unique energy in the surroundings—the Spiritual energy—before they absorb and refine it.
However, unlike in the cultivation world, the unique energy that Miguel sensed was actually inside the grimoire that was inside his body.
The grimoire was floating mysteriously inside his body. According to the information provided by the grimoire, it was now in a dormant state. The grimoire was situated around his chest. A bluish energy circulated around the grimoire. Miguel thought that this should be the unique energy of this world, the Grimoire Summoning Energy.
Thinking of the strict requirements of the cultivation technique he created and the Grimoire Summoning Energy that was already inside him, Miguel began to become worried.
'Am I truly not destined to cultivate the very own cultivation technique that I created? Previously, it was because I already had high cultivation. Now, I don't have a cultivation, yet I still somehow awakened and allowed this Grimoire Summoning Energy to enter my body.'
Miguel was speechless at the thought of being unable to cultivate his own technique.
This technique was originally created in order for him to have a chance at breaking through to the next level of his previous life. However, not only was it technically the cause of his death, he could not even use it now in this second life.
What a waste!
As Miguel observed the grimoire and the swirling bluish energy, he suddenly saw something unexpected.
'Wait, that's not right. This Grimoire Summoning Energy is only revolving around the Grimoire, and it has not technically entered my body yet,' he exclaimed as he immediately started practicing the cultivation technique once again.
However, he was soon met with another problem.
He realized that he still could not cultivate at all. It was not because his previous idea was wrong. He could tell that he would succeed this time; unfortunately, the cultivation technique was created on the idea of the unique energy being absorbed by the user.
At this moment, the bluish Grimoire Summoning Energy was technically inside him; however, he realized that he could not control it.
'It feels like something is blocking me from controlling it...' he thought.
The cultivation technique he created was very profound and powerful. He had actually taken into consideration the different unique energies present in different worlds to create it.
The idea was to refine any kind of unique energy present in each world and transform it back into the more powerful Origin Energy.
Hence, it was very surprising for him that he could not control this bluish energy at all.
'Is it because of the laws of this world? ' He thought.
According to the information provided by the grimoire when he awakened, the people of this world could grow stronger through winning battles.
They could gain experience points if they won a battle against their enemies, and if the experience points reached a certain amount, the grimoire would then provide the necessary energy needed to strengthen the user or their contracted beast.
It was a very straightforward way to get stronger.
Thinking of that, Miguel began to worry about not being able to see any technique that could control the Grimoire Summoning Energy of this world.
He could use them as references in order to improve the cultivation technique he created so that he would be able to control the grimoire summoning energy through it as well.
In truth, with enough time, he should still be able to improve the cultivation technique and accommodate the Grimoire Summoning Energy. However, if he has techniques from this world that he could refer to, improvising the profound cultivation technique would become much easier, and he would be able to finish it faster.
'I hope there is something like that in the main house tomorrow. Or else, I could only create my own technique first before integrating it with that nameless cultivation technique I created.'
'I just hoped that it wouldn't be too late then.' Miguel guessed that the day he leveled up through battles, it would also be the day that he would lose the qualification to cultivate that technique again. Leveling up means that his body would already be invaded by the energy that would then be provided by the grimoire for his promotion.
He could also opt out of battling first. However, in this world and in the worlds he visited in his previous life, conflict and battles have always been present.

Miguel woke up and immediately went outside after some stretching.
It has been a long time since the last time that Miguel slept, as he doesn't need to with his cultivation level from his previous life.
Waking up from a nice sleep was indeed a good feeling. Even he could not help but feel nostalgic about it.
In the room right in front of his room, he saw Sara cooking in the mini kitchen. She turned around and wished Miguel a good morning with a smile on her face.
Miguel was about to greet her back when he noticed a black line under her neck. He frowned and made his way toward her.
His blood boiled in rage once more as he softly lifted her neck with his finger. "Which bastard did this to you?"
